FEMA, NOAA Tweeted Storm Preparedness

Craig Fugate, FEMA’s administrator, and NOAA Deputy Administrator Dr. Kathryn Sullivan took questions about preparedness for special populations and teaching schoolchildren about severe weather.

The White House’s Office Hours on Twitter today offered a session about preparing for and responding to severe weather.

Officials from two federal agencies, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which together launched the first National Severe Weather Preparedness Week this year (April 22-28), answered questions in real time on Twitter beginning at 11 a.m. EDT.

If you missed the live event, the full session is available on WhiteHouse.gov and Storify.com/WhiteHouse.
